침묵의 탑 - 브라이스 캐년에서

황톳빛 흙으로 빚어낸 듯
깊은 협곡 아래 도열한 기묘한 바위 군단
마치 진시황릉 병사들처럼
말없는 열병식을 치르는
침식과 풍화, 그 영겁의 손길이 빚어낸
웅장한 작품 앞에서
나는 그만 숨을 죽인다
대자연의 숨결과 마주하는 이 시간
마음은 깊고 깊은 고요 속으로 가라앉는다
미국 유타주(Utah) 남서부에 위치한 브라이스 캐년(Bryce Canyon)은 수천만 년의 풍화와 침식으로 깎여 나간 거대한 황톳빛 돌기둥(후두, Hoodoo) 군단이 장관을 이루는 국립공원이다. 특히 공원의 대표 명소인 '인스피레이션 포인트(Inspiration Point)'에 서면, 수많은 바위 병사들이 끝없이 도열한 협곡의 압도적인 전경을 한눈에 내려다보며 깊은 영감과 감동을 느낄 수 있다.

Tower of Silence – At Bryce Canyon

As if molded from golden-brown earth
A mysterious army of rocks stands in formation down the deep canyon
Like the terracotta soldiers of Emperor Qin Shi Huang
They hold a silent military review
Before this grand masterpiece
Sculpted by the eternal hands of erosion and weathering
I hold my breath
In this moment of facing the breath of Mother Nature
My mind sinks into a deep, profound stillness.
Located in southwestern Utah, USA, Bryce Canyon is a national park featuring a spectacular landscape of massive, golden-brown rock pillars (hoodoos) sculpted by tens of millions of years of weathering and erosion. Standing at the park's iconic 'Inspiration Point,' visitors can look down upon an overwhelming panoramic view of countless rock soldiers lined up endlessly through the canyon, experiencing deep inspiration and profound emotion.

黄土色の土で形作られたかのような
深い峡谷の下に整列する奇妙な岩の軍団
まるで秦の始皇帝陵の兵士たちのように
言葉なき閲兵式を執り行う
浸食と風化、その永劫の手が紡ぎ出した
雄大な作品の前で
私は思わず息をのむ
大自然の息吹と向き合うこの時間
心は深く、深い静寂の中へと沈んでゆく。
アメリカ・ユタ州（Utah）南西部に位置するブライスキャニオンは、数千万年もの風化と浸食によって削り取られた、巨大な黄土色の岩の柱（フードゥー、Hoodoo）の軍団が壮観な景色を成す国立公園である。特に公園の代表的な名所である「インスピレーション・ポイント（Inspiration Point）」に立つと、数多くの岩の兵士たちが果てしなく整列した峡谷の圧倒的な全景をひと目で見下ろすことがで、深いインスピレーションと感動を味わうことができる。
